I have always loved using my hands to create. From the age of seven, I have carried a pocket knife, readily available to turn any small piece of wood into something. Retirement has allowed me a great opportunity to “play” in my shop in Almonte. I love to bring out the natural beauty of wood, preferring a rustic look, but making everything functional as well. Local outings include searching for sticks, branches, specially shaped saplings for sturdy walking & fighting sticks. Family & friends often bring me different kinds of wood which I enjoy introducing into my creations. I also make walking canes, back scratchers, shoe horns & bird houses
